Nowadays there are more and more people using the internet to plagiarize essays, and we can prevent this in several different ways, and one of them is by testing the students in the class. The teachers can give out "pop quizzes", which are quizzes that are not expected by students ahead of time, and the teachers can make specific rules, such as if on the quizzes the students don't even perform close to how they performed on the essays, then their essay grade will be zero. This way students will be more afraid of plagiarizing, and instead they will hopefully try their best on writing their own essays.
