当状语从句（时间,条件,让步等）的主语和主句主语相同时,存在从句省略主谓现象.
如：He got injured yesterday when crossing the road.
He got injured yesterday when he tried to cross the road.
此类现象,挺典型的,是考试热点,望体会下.

After saying good bye,the couple moved off and were lost in the crowd.怎么不把were去掉，答案上这么写的

and 连接两个并列的谓语， 即：moved off 和 were lost ，所以不能省略。
