为什么选is,是把audience看作总体吗?什么时候把它的意思分开来看?

audience 就像peple/police 一样,试集合名词,所以用is

audience 是整体概念，后面的group 又使用了复数概念。这是可以的。
再比如：population 是整体概念。 The population can be divided into two groups according to sex: the male group and the female group.

根据句意判断，这里应该是复数，所以填 are
