时间状语为in the past two years,时态是否要用完成时态?

in the past与过去时连用,这是是无疑的,且看：

但in the past+段时间,则表示从过去某时算起到现在的一段时间,且表示对现在的情况有所影响.如2003年普通高等学校春季招生考试(北京、安徽、内蒙古卷)的21题：

根据时间状语"in the past five years"可以知道这个动作发生在以现在为立足点的时间轴的过去,且这个动作对现在有影响可判断为现在完成时.故选B.

我认为“我们没有做任何事”什么也没完成，就不能用完成时态。（仅仅是我的理解）
语法不是死的，比如while和when能否互换有时还得看实际情况，并不能死搬语法

当in the past用来做时间状语的时候，后面可以跟两种时态。
1）跟一般过去式，客观的叙述过去的情况，只是过去呦！
2）跟现在完成时，强调的是过去发生的事情持续到现在，并对现在造成了一定的影响
你的题目是，在过去的俩年我们一事无成，表示的是，我们什么也没有做。所以选did...

大多数情况下,如句中有 类似in the past two years短语的时候,句子用现在完成时态.但是当不强调动作对现在的影响时,可以用一般过去时态.
