Minutes of a meeting of JOY & HEALTH TENNIS CLUB held on 18 November 1999 at 1700 hours.
PRESENT:Mr.David Murphy
Mr.J.Maynard
Mrs.J.Norton
Miss B.Pitman
Mr.A.Wallace
1.Apologies for Absence
No apologies were received from Miss P.Kelly and Mr.S.Williams.
2.Minutes of Last Meeting
These were approved and signed by the Chairman as a correct record.
3.Matters Arising
There were no matters arising.
4.Reports for Social Committee
Miss B.Pitman reported on the following:
4.1.Millennium Disco:The Millennium Disco held on Saturday 6 November was a great success,making a profit of $24o.
4.2.New Year’s Dance:The New Year’s Dance would be held on Saturday 1 January 2000,and tickets were being printed.They would be on sale at the bar on Monday 29 November.
5.Indoor Courts
Mr.A.Wallace reported that lights on the indoor courts were flickering.Mrs.J.Norton agreed to arrange for an electrician to rectify this.
6.Tennis Nets
The Chairman commented on the poor condition of the tennis nets.Mr.J.Maynard was requested to find out the cost of new ones.
7.Any Other Business
It was decided that the Annual General Meeting would be held on Wednesday 14 December.
8.Date of Next Meeting
It was agreed that the next meeting would be held on Wednesday 12 January 2000 at14 hours.
