英语中,可数名词有复数形式.比如 2 hours,3 glasses of water 等.那么0.5小时,1.5杯水,

半小时是小于1的,所以名词还是要用单数：half an hour
一个半小时有两种说法：an hour and a half/ one and a half hours
第一种说法,名词hour前面的数量是1,所以hour 是单数的.第二种用法hour前面比一大,所以hour用复数.原则是看名词前的数词是否大于一.
同理,1.5 杯水是one glass of water and a half/one and a half glasses of water.水是不可数名词/物质名词,所以没有复数.

通常来说，不足1的就用单数，超过1的用复数(反正我是这么记的)
如：half an hour ; one and a half glasses of water

half an hour ,半个小时或者是0.5小时
half and a glass of water 1.5杯水
1.5 glasses of water

0.5小时：half an hour
1.5杯水：one and half glasses of water
当非整数时，数量小于一用单数，大于一用复数。
