put on 是“穿上”,表示一个动作,即把衣服穿到身上.例句：It's cold outside. Put on your haevy coat. 外面很冷,把你的厚大衣穿上吧.
wear 是“穿着”,表示一个状态,即已经穿上了某件衣服.例句：Every time I see him, he always wears his old jacket. 我每次见到他时,他都穿着那件旧夹克衫.
注意：这两个动词的宾语也可以是帽子、围巾、项链等,所以有时要分别翻译成“戴上”和“戴着”.
