动词不定式作主语,也可以是动名词做主语,两个表示的意义差别,ing表经常,to do 表一次性完成的动作,to take care of sth.是固定搭配需要介词,具体不定式的用法去http://zhidao.baidu.com/question/189863000.html

不用加啊原句是倒装句(貌似是倒装表强调) 恢复原状是To take care of a dog isn't easy. To take care of a dog是主语，所以to take care of后面已经有dog(sth.)了,不用再加什么 (.....不知道我说清楚没有)
