倒底是”越喜欢就越多看”
还是”越多看就越喜欢”呢?
为什么不是”The better we like the oil painting,the more we look at it"?
the more we look at it不是在后面吗？

the+比较级...,the+比较级...这个结构,意思是越怎么样,就越怎么样.注意这里有一个逗号.所以楼上The more we looked at the oil painting,the better we like it. 是对的.楼主原句中是没有逗号的,后面其实可以看作是壮语后置,来形容动词like程度逐渐加深的原因

这个句子这样说很别扭，我觉得应该是这样：
The more we looked at the oil painting,the better we like it.

可以这样理解,the more we looked at it 用来修饰主句，修饰成分一般先理解,翻译的时候先翻译。...:)并且这个修饰成分可以放到句首.
