Gear shaper is a kind of metal stock-rmoving machine which is used for processing the straight tooth of inside and outside, helical gear as well as others tooth shape gear with the generating method. The untied control technology of PLC ( programmable logic controller) and touch screen (pt）has become the one of main automatic unit in the industrial control fields. This paper is a design of the electrical control system of type YM5132 gear shaper operating by the PLC and touch screen. It can use the center core processing system of the programmable logic controller to control the variour functions of machine tool, base on the control function, control logic and working conditions for the YM5132 gear shaper, with the interactive interface for users by a touch screen. So it can improve the gear sheaper in the reliability, operablity and control ability, furture more can reduce the equipment trouble and improve the equipment efficiency.
