这个不要看，根据说话人的具体情况而定。如果是现在说的话，就用现在时，如果是过去某个时候说的话，可以用过去时。一般说话的时候如果没有特别说明，就按一般现在时处理

如果是你现在说的话，
就用 we are no longer children 我们现在已经不再是孩子了。
如果是过去说的话，
就用we were no longer children
