1 the rest 如果指代复数名词,这个 the rest 就是复数形式.比如说：Twenty of the students are in the classroom and THE REST ARE in the reading room.
2 如果 the rest指代不可数名词,这个the rest就是单数形式：He has drunk some of the milk,and THE REST IS still in the bottle.

rest为数量词，本身是不用复数的the rest (of+名词），后面的名词可根据具体情况用单复数，作主语时谓语动词也根据具体情况使用。

the rest 表示剩下的那些（问题），加定冠词the 表特指剩下的、其余的，rests就属于一个宽泛的概念了
the rest 是一个固定短语表剩余部分、余下的东西，rest做名词用没有rests这个表达~
