I know you are annoyed and I am willing to offer some advice.
As you know, a friend in need is a friend indeed.Though you quarrelled with your deskmate, I don't think it's good to give up your friendship. If I were you, I would have a deep conversation with him/her to discuss what was the matter, trying to solve it as fast as possible.
As for your math, I think you need more practice. Whenever you have trouble in it, turn to your classmates or teachers.
